Three nights on Croatia's Istrian coast with a 4-star hotel and breakfast included, plus flights from Stansted — all from £169 per person. End of September or October departure.

The deal

Secret Escapes is handling the hotel side: three nights at the Visula Hotel & Spa in Medulin (a quieter coastal town on the Istrian peninsula) with breakfast included. You book your return flights separately — Ryanair or Easyjet both fly Stansted to Pula, about an hour's drive away. Total per person from £169 (so £338 for two).

Why we like it

Medulin isn't overrun, the Visula has proper spa facilities if you want them, and Istria itself is decent for mixing beach time with wine bars and hill villages. September and October are sensible months — warm water, fewer crowds than summer.

The catch: you're cobbling together two bookings, not one seamless package. That means separate cancellation policies, no protection if one leg goes wrong, and you'll need to coordinate timings yourself. Also verify the flight price separately — budget airlines' "from £169" quotes can shift quickly, and you might land a higher rate depending on dates.
