The Boarding Pass Club is an independent UK travel-deals and event-weekend publication. Our job is to help readers decide whether a trip is genuinely worth their time and money. We publish a mixture of current deals, practical travel guides and UK event ideas. This policy explains how we select, check, write and update that work.
How we choose deals
We look for a clear saving, an unusually useful itinerary or a combination of dates, departure airport and inclusions that is difficult to find without doing the comparison work. A low headline price is not enough by itself. We consider baggage, board basis, transfers, room type, booking conditions and whether the dates are realistic for UK travellers.
We may compare package providers, airlines, hotels, ticket sellers and activity platforms. Where an official venue, airline or organiser is the best source, we link to it even when that link earns us nothing. Affiliate commission does not determine whether a deal is selected or how it is ranked.
Price and availability checks
Travel and ticket prices move quickly. The price shown in an article is the price available when the deal was researched or published unless the page says otherwise. We aim to state the departure airport, travel dates, occupancy assumptions and important inclusions. Readers should always confirm the final total, baggage, cancellation terms and availability on the booking provider's website before paying.
Automated checks help us find broken links, missing information and potentially stale offers. They do not replace the final price and terms shown by the supplier. When a deal has expired, we may retain the guide or redirect it to a useful current alternative rather than leave a dead page.
Sources and fact checking
For event dates, venues, entry rules and ticket information, we prefer the official organiser, venue or governing body. For flights and accommodation we check the provider or booking platform reached by the reader. We distinguish confirmed facts from estimates, examples and editorial judgement.
Writers are expected to check names, dates, locations, currencies and material restrictions. Structured data shown to search engines must match the visible article. We do not invent a venue, date, price or availability status when the source does not provide one.
Authors, automation and AI
Every article is assigned to a named member of the editorial team. Automation helps with monitoring, formatting, image checks, internal links and first-draft research. AI-assisted material is reviewed against the available sources before publication. The named author and The Boarding Pass Club remain responsible for the finished page.
We do not mass-publish location pages that merely swap a place name, fake first-hand experience or create quotations from people who were not interviewed. Useful original comparison, local detail and transparent limitations matter more than publishing volume.
