Why we like it
Rome in December is genuinely pleasant — cooler, fewer tourists, and the city's manageable. The hotel sits in a reasonable spot for getting around on foot or public transport.
The catches are real, though. Checked luggage costs extra with Wizz Air, as do reserved seats, priority boarding, and any food onboard. Transfers between the airport and hotel aren't included, so factor in another £20–30 for a taxi or public transport. Room-only board means you're eating out for all meals — doable in Rome, but worth budgeting for.
That said, at £170pp all-in for flights and three nights' accommodation, it's solid value for a winter city break if you're flexible on extras.
