Why we like it
The room rate is genuinely competitive for a 4-star beachfront property in high season. You get breakfast thrown in, which saves faff on most mornings. Ulcinj itself is low-key and cheaper than Croatia's showier coastal towns—decent food, actual locals, Adriatic views without the Instagram queue.
The catch: flights to Podgorica (Montenegro's main airport) aren't included, so budget accordingly. Budget carriers can get you there from the UK for £30–£80 return if you're flexible. Factor that in before you celebrate.
