Why we like it
The Amsterdam Light Festival is back for its 15th edition from 26 November 2026 to 17 January 2027, with a brand-new route of light artworks along the canals. The lights are on every evening from 4:30pm to 11pm (9pm on New Year's Eve), and the cruise takes about 75 minutes. Doing it from a boat with a drink in hand is the best way to see it. Add the Christmas markets, the canal houses lit up for December and a stroopwafel or two, and it's a festive weekend for under £200 each.
