Why we like it
Athens in winter means clearer Acropolis views, cheaper hotels and dinner reservations that are actually available. Catch the Parthenon at sunset, then souvlaki and baklava after dark — the city is built for evening wandering once the heat has gone. These fares undercut the usual non-stop rate by roughly half, and Manchester and Stansted both start at £71.
