PLAY and easyJet have dropped return flights to Reykjavik to £80 from four UK airports. Not a typo — genuine fares that make Iceland suddenly feel like an actual option rather than a retirement-fund item.

Why we like it
Iceland's been stuck in "treat yourself" territory for years, which meant most people never went. At this price, you can actually build a proper long weekend without remortgaging. Four different departure airports means most of the UK can reach this without a two-hour drive to hub.
The catch? This is PLAY, the Icelandic budget carrier, often paired with easyJet — so expect standard budget airline terms. Baggage, seat selection, and extras cost separately. Also check what "return" actually covers: sometimes one leg is PLAY and one is easyJet, which is fine but worth confirming before booking.
Reykjavik's pricey once you land (food, activity permits, car rental), so budget accordingly — but the flight being reasonable suddenly makes the whole trip viable.
How to book
Head to PLAY or easyJet's website directly and search your preferred airport to Reykjavik. Dates matter — these fares don't always hold year-round, so lock it in quickly if the dates work for you.
