During the summer season (1 May to 26 September 2026) there is extended opening on Fridays and Saturdays until 8pm, which is a good option if you prefer a quieter, later visit.

One thing to be aware of: the official site sells only the reduced-price ticket online, for children aged 6–14, students aged 15–25 and over-65s. For anyone interested in Venetian history, art or interiors, yes. The one caveat is the ongoing restoration: with the Ballroom currently under scaffold and its fresco hidden, visitors specifically drawn by that room may feel short-changed for now. If you go in knowing that, the rest of the palace and collection comfortably justify the visit and the price.
